And I write the things of my soul... (2 Ne 4:15)

I have to say that I have loved this blogging thing. I started after we moved away from Texas and I had pangs of homesickness and wanted to keep some sort of connection. This has been such a fun way to keep in touch with loved ones as far away as New Hampshire and and as close as down the street. I am so grateful for all the amazing women (and men) that I know and who I can admire by hearing their triumphs, tragedies, and troubles. It is a window into those things worth noting -- large and small. So, thanks so much for sharing glimpses of your life and making me laugh and helping me realize the importance of friends and family.

I found these two great quotes off a link from my friend Calise's blog...
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh you memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley.

I love keeping in touch this way, too. I feel myself drawn to the computer two or three times a day to check the Blogs of my family members just hoping there might be something new. You know that scene in "You've Got Mail" where Tom Hanks repeatedly walks by the room that his computer is in? You can see that he is trying to leave it alone but he can't. I feel the same. In one of my favorite quotes from the same movie Greg Kinear says, "I can't help myself!" This is exactly how I feel. Thanks for being the blogging pioneer in our family, Ris.

I forgot about the eggs. I don't know if I make a perfect boiled egg or not but this is how I do it. Put the eggs in cold water and bring to a boil for about 3 minutes. Then turn heat to low and cook an additional 10 minutes. I always pull one out to test before I drain the whole pan. If not done give another 3-5 minutes. Good luck!

I agree with Laur. The last couple of months have been so great. Being able to keep track of everyone--good, bad, and ugly--is a gift and besides, someone makes me laugh every day. Love you all!

I agree with Laur also. It has been great to read all of your blogs. You are all such wonderful writers it puts me to shame. Thanks Marisa for all that you do.

I loved this quote! It does make me feel like I am keeping a record, and I don't feel like a complete failure with not keeping up on scrapbooks and journals. I also came upon a link to have your blogs printed out and bound in a nice book yearly. This blogging is too much fun!!
