Emmett is two! He's a great little boy and lots of fun. He makes us laugh and his favorite foods are "bips" (chips) and oranges. He's figured out that presents are always a good thing.
Looking for any excuse to avoid grading...
...I spent a few hours making this project!
Now that Emmett is two and he's going to have a little sister joining us pretty soon, we figured it was time for Emmett to sleep in a big boy bed. But, Audrey has been sleeping in the toddler bed and so when we would try to get Emmett to sleep in the toddler bed he would cry and say "YaYa bed!" I figured we needed to do something to make it "his" bed. So, I went to JoAnn's and grabbed three yards of SpongeBob fabric and found whatever extra fabric I could at home. So, rather than finish my grading, I made this:
Spongebob is not necessarily my role model of choice, but Emmett really loves him (long story) and they had no Elmo or Diego fabric! So, for having no pattern and no idea what I was doing, I'm pretty excited about it! I just can't let my mother-in-law look too closely at my "figure-it-out-as-you-go" sewing.
And, after three nights, it's working great! He's falling asleep in his own bed and staying there all night! Whoohoo! Maybe I will be able to survive four. People do it all the time, right?!?
